On Friday, April 12, 2013, our office honored Regional Board Chair, Eric Berg, with the Harter/Myerson Leadership Award for his work in the local community. The Spring Garden Party luncheon was held at the Four Season Biltmore Hotel and included special guest speaker, Dr. Carrie Cropley-Hutchinson, Communications Professor from SBCC, and a silent and live auction with special guest auctioneer Billy Baldwin. The funds raised benefit the No Place for Hate® Initiative in local schools and the Grosfeld Family National Youth Leadership Mission.
ADL begins its second century knowing that there is much work to be done. With a Centennial year theme of “Imagine a World without Hate™,” ADL remains dedicated to making our country a more inclusive home for all; where being different is not a liability, and diversity is a cherished strength. The League will encourage the public to join us throughout 2013 for a series of special events and programs, including the ADL Centennial Summit & Gala in Washington, D.C. in April 2013, featuring a roster of special guests, celebrity tributes, prominent speakers and dignitaries.
