On September 10th, 2013, the Santa Barbara Tri/Counties office of the Anti-Defamation League will launch another year of their banner No Place for Hate® Initiative during the Public Comment portion of the Santa Barbara City Council Meeting. The City Council meeting begins at 2:00pm. All Santa Barbara School District schools participate in No Place for Hate®, joining schools from across the Tri-Counties region.

Associate Regional Director, Anais Borg-Marks said: “we will be reading the ‘Resolution of Respect’, which states that student participants will do everything they can to combat prejudice and bias. This Resolution is a pledge that individuals speak out against all forms of prejudice and discrimination and serves as a powerful tool reminding students of the importance of the No Place for Hate® initiative”.

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world’s leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.
